54 Years of Leadership Experience in 54 Minutes
Exploring the characteristics of great leaders and thinking through how they apply to your daily work can help you get a better appreciation for the kind of leader you want to be and how to apply those traits to your job.
I recently had occasion to sit down with Maureen Metcalf and discuss leadership on her Voice America radio show. I’ve known Maureen for years and have always enjoyed our conversations on leadership. During our discussion we covered topics like what makes for a great leader, how to be authentic, and how to stay true to yourself.
I know the interview seems long (it’s a 54 minute segment) but I think it’s worth investing the time in thinking about these topics and considering how you can apply them to your work. We’ve managed to discuss our collective 54 years of leadership experience in those short 54 minutes. That’s quite a time savings bargain!
If you can’t get through it in one sitting, just tackle a segment per day – each segment is about 15 minutes long. Your development is worth the time
So here’s our conversation:
I hope you enjoyed the perspectives we shared! Please share them if you did and subscribe to Maureen’s show. She’s always discussing interesting topics with interesting people.
