Over the last 26 years, C.J. has been utilizing his uncommon combination of talents in strategy, analytics and people skills across different industries and functional roles throughout the Americas. C.J. received a B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering with a telecommunications focus from Universidad Simón Bolívar, in Caracas, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He started his career as a Telecommunications Analyst with Procter & Gamble Venezuela. He then transitioned into marketing roles in the different consumer products business units of Warner Lambert. There, he took progressively more senior responsibilities managing major brands and launching new products in the Venezuelan market.
After business school, C.J. joined Bain & Company as a consultant assisting Fortune 100 companies in the U.S. and Mexico in managing strategic and operational challenges in industries such as automotive, telecommunications and retail. After Bain, he was recruited by Russell Reynolds Associates to conduct executive level searches for different technology clients in the US. In 2001, he was charged with opening and managing the firm’s office in Miami in order to continue expanding the company’s business across all industries in Latin America. Shortly thereafter he founded his executive recruiting firm.
C.J. is founder and managing director of International Executive Recruiting Group (IERG). With over 18 years of executive recruiting experience, he is adept at understanding clients’ needs for key executives and identifying talented individuals capable of thriving in corporate environments within different cultures in Latin America.
Most recently, C.J. expanded IERG’s scope of work to include outsourced payroll services and employee leasing services (PEO). Over the last 8 years, has fulfilled his clients’ needs for these services in Chile, Colombia, Jamaica, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela tackling the intricate labor laws and regulations of each country.
Based in Miami, he enjoys water sports and he travels extensively to stay in touch with family and friends throughout the world.
